| I downloaded Katharsis from Listenable Records on the off chance, and I found something amazing, i then downloaded, Faith Healer and Inflict Video, and within a week id bought Pristines In Bondage, I love this band, next buy WILL BE A World Depraved... Would be thilled if AMARAN could find themseves playing Germany's Wacken Open Air this Summer, although im from the UK - im always at Wacken. keep rocking |

| Amaran - Pristine in bondage 2004
-To be totally honest, I’m completely in awe that this is the same band who put out their debut album “A world depraved” back in 2002. The band has jumped so far ahead of everything that their debut was, it’s almost impossible to accept that they have improved this much! While the debut album was strong and a pretty good album, this is light years ahead in virtually every aspect of the Music. The band remains exactly the same as the debut but now the guitarists have both turned into a couple of Guitar-Wizards with no end to their musical maturity and natural harmony with this blend of Melodic Progressive and very Technical guitar playing. They retain a heaviness though and remind me of the first couple of album from Children of Bodom but with a slightly different take on the Classically stylish patterns. Vocally, Johanna has improved her voice 100% from the first album and is now singing very strong and much more passionate ( a feat usually reserved to take much more time). Some of the guitar solos are so soaring and I love the throwback to such classic albums as “A Distant Thunder” and “Nosferatu” both by the wickedly talented band Helstar. I'm mad about metal and a friend of mine send me two weeks ago 2 albums of Amaran and I fall in love with this fabulous band, particularly about Johanna (smile). I play guitar and i wish that someone send me the guitar tablature to try it at home. IT will be nice of you!!! I wish to see you one day in switzerland!!!! Someone could respond to me and if it can be a member of the band it will be fantastic for me...BYE |
