December 28, 2005 Dear all,

This year comes to an end and we are sad to say that Amaran does the same.
Since Johanna left us in July we have really been struggling looking for a replacement.
We have tried by contacts, friends, ads, headhunting, hostile kidnapping and threat without any success.
Our bad luck always seems to keep up with us.
This issue has simply unplugged our tub of motivation, and we all decided to put Amaran six feet under.
We would like to thank everyone who has been involved in any way with us during these Amaran years. As a final word, we suggest you to keep your eyes open during the forthcoming year. A new year seems to be a good time to start up something new...

A final farewell from Amaran

December 20, 2005 Ronnie has signed an endorsement deal with guitar manufacturer Mayones.

These handmade guitars are really something special and I’m totally blown by their performance!!! I’ve chosen the SeGTM model with additional custom options. For pictures and more information see Mayones homepage www.mayones.com or the newsflash about the endorsement deal here.     / Ronnie

July 23, 2005 This is a good day for some sad news...

Johanna has decided to leave the band. Here is her statement:

Hi everybody. Unfortunately I have some bad news for you, I have decided to leave the band. The reason for this is that I  have lost the commitment and ambition that it takes to drive a band forwards and me staying would only result in keeping the other guys back. I will definitely not give up singing, so you can still count on seeing me around in other contexts. I’ve had a great time with Amaran, many wonderful memories, in particular all you people out there who have supported us, sent us e-mails, been there at our gigs. I’d like to say a big thank you to you guys :).. and also to the other members of Amaran, I’m sure they’ll make something good out of this situation as well.
Love// Johanna DePierre

We understand and respect Johannas decision and wish her good luck in the future.
This will of course effect Amarans future and at the moment we cannot tell what the outcome will be. One thing is certain though; Robin, Ronnie, Gunnar and Niklas will continue to play together and work on our new material. We cannot say how the vocals will be like or if we can continue under the name Amaran. Future will tell and we will keep you updated.
/Robin and Ronnie

May 11, 2005 This is a good day for some good news!

Niklas Sandin from Siebenbürgen will be the fellow to complete the new and fresh Amaran line-up!
After two auditions we where totally convinced that Niklas was handling the base guitar the way that we where looking for. The rhythm section will be really cool in the future. It feels great to have a full line-up again and from now on we can concentrate 100% on the new material!!! Welcome to the Amaran Niklas! Lets have a lot of fun together:) /Robin

April 21, 2005 One down, one more to go.

We have really received a lot of mails from all over the world regarding the free slot that Kari left behind when he dropped off the band. Of course there was not possible for all to make an audition. In fact we only did one audition with one guy that we managed to filter out from all the emails and meetings that we arranged. Yesterday we agreed upon that no more auditions are necessary since we were really pleased with the outcome from the one we had. Due to excellent guitar skills and a great attitude that really fits in the band, we are proud to present our new member in Amaran:
Gunnar-The Sledgehammer-Hammar!!!
Welcome to Amaran and we are really looking forward to kick ass together with you! So what about the missing base guitar player?!?! Well... stay tuned. More news within short. /Robin

April 11, 2005 HOHOOOO Fellows!!!!

Long time no news... That is for a few reasons. First of all we have not been able to find a rehearsal studio in this town since we lost the old one. It is fucking expensive here but finally we managed to find one that will do for now. While waiting for that one, Johanna took a little travel to Thailand for some beerdrinking. She seemed to like the trip since she extended her visit a few weeks. During that time I went to Guatemala for some work. It was really fun to work next to smoking volcanos and get some musical influences from Central America. Now we are all back home, and I moved my drums from my living room to the new rehearsal studio last weekend. It was a nice feeling to beet the shit out of my drums again. The plan for this week is to make some auditions to fill out the opens slots in the band. More news to be expected in a near future. /Robin
