Kind of cool I think :-) /kari Nov 07, 2001 We are proud to announce that we have signed a record deal with Listenable Records. It's a one-record-deal but with option for further two. Listenable wasn't the only label showing interest in us but we chose them because they felt right for us from the beginning. Laurent (Listenable) seems like a very honest guy and we have high hopes for this cooperation. We have also booked a studio for the recording of our debut album. We will enter Jacob Hansen's Aabenraa Studio in Denmark in February 2002 and the album in scheduled for release in August/September 2002. /kari Nov 06, 2001 Ronnie has written a report from our gig at Club Rockers/Bankiren in Västerås together with Entombed and Roachpowder (Gigs). /kari Nov 04, 2001 We've uploaded some pics, from our gig with Entombed and Roachpowder at Club Rockers in Västerås Nov 01. It seems like we finally might get a good deal. If all goes well, we should be able to have a full-length album out around spring. Now we've mixed all the songs for our “PROMO 2001” and u/l them. I'm very pleased with the way they turned out! The songs are recorded at my house using a computer (MAC of course ;-)). Ronnie and I spent a lot of time mixing the songs which I think is the main reason for the good sound quality. Help us out by giving us feedback to the songs!!! We have been in contact with a keyboard player. If everything turns out nicely he'll expand our line-up. Check out the Pics, we've u/l some new pictures. /kari April 23, 2001 Time for an update again! We're in the final stages of mixing the four (4) songs which we began recording ages ago. When we took Robin into the band we thought that we should concentrate on doing new recordings with him. However, to get any gigs this summer we have to finish these recordings. You can't get any gigs on 'shitty' recordings. The songs on our site are quite 'old' and need to be updated. This means that when we have finished mixing all the songs the old ones on this site will be replaced. As for now the new song is Lullaby. The rest comes later. /kari April 06, 2001 Hi all!!! As of today we have changed the URL for this page to http://www.amaran.net. Don't forget to bookmark it! The old one, http://www.amaran.now.nu, will still be working (don't know for how long). We also have the pleasure (!?!?) to give you our first pictures of the band. Unfortunately Johanna couldn't make it the day we took the pics but we'll shoot new ones pretty soon (and they will be better than these ones...). The site has also been introduced to stylesheets which should increase the loading speed, not much but anyway... /kari March 18, 2001 Hi folks! We are proud to announce that we now have a drummer in the band, Robin Bergh. After two auditions we all agreed that he is the right drummer for us, and we unanimously chose to make him a member of the band. Robin has played drums for about twelve years and has both studio- and live-experience. He is a great drummer, and we have surely found the right drummer. The future looks bright... /micke March 08, 2001 Right now we're busy with recording new better versions of the song Imperfect, Lullaby, Received a Kiss and Rusty Warhorse. When we're done we'll upload 'em as soon as possible. In the meanwhile the old recordings of these songs will be available in .ra format. I had to remove the .mp3 files. Why??? We have storage space but since the "Napster" trial started our supplier is not longer willing to accept uploads of .mp3 files. /kari February 19, 2001 Alright, finally some new songs!!! All our energy has gone into finding a new drummer and we're still looking for one - so drummer, here's your chance!!! We'll record 4 songs in February as a demo/promo in a friend's studio here in Stockholm... The songs we'll be recording are: Imperfect Lullaby Received a Kiss Rusty Warhorse We have also been thinking about the name for the band and haven't come to a conclusion. A lot of our name-ideas have already been taken by other bands (no shit ;-) but shortly we'll be presenting the name. Yes, we have an idea of a name for the band. I think that we have a very good spirit in the band and that everyone is seeing forward to play live. We have high hopes for the future!!! C ya! P.S.
