We'll be back in 2004 with full strength, with the new album and tours etc :-) Second of all we've been forced to move some of our files due to complaints from our web-provider. If it causes any inconvenience for you we apologize for that but it is out of our control. When they threaten to close down the site we don't have any other choice that to move them :-( All files are still available for download but they have been moved to other servers. /kari

Jun 09, 2003 Greetings all Amaran fans!

I'd like to take a moment to express my gratitude towards the band for giving me the chance to fill the empty bass slot after Micke. It's not gonna be an easy task but I'll sure do my best and I'll work my ass off to get it to work. Practice Practice Practice!!!

Hope to see you all on tour soon!

Cheers! /Ronnie Bergerståhlempty

May 26, 2003 Micke would like take the time to explain why he left the band. Here's his statement:

Two questions I've been asked a lot lately are:

Why?
What's next?

"Why?" is probably the most difficult question, since I'm not really sure I know the entire answer myself. I guess there are several reasons for my departure, but it all comes down to one thing. Lack of motivation. Not towards the band in particular, but towards the world in general. There have been many ups and downs in my life since I first joined the band, and some have had greater impact than others. I've had a fair share of personal problems that took my focus away from the band, and I never found that focus again. Since I couldn't promise the band that I would always be able to give 100% I found it best to step down instead of running the risk of standing in the way.

As for the future, I don't know yet what will happen. Right now I intend to take a break from musical activities for a few months and then re-evaluate how I feel about playing. If I find any motivation again I might have a look at the songs I once wrote for my (now dormant) solo project. If that feels good I might try to build a band from it, or look for something existing.

I hope this answers the two questions.

My best wishes for the band, and I look forward to hearing what they create
in the future.

/Mikael Andersson

May 24, 2003 Bad news, man!!! Fucking bad news... Micke has decided to leave the band... Micke has contributed a great to to what Amaran has become and it will probably be hard to find a bassplayer as talented as he is. We wish him all the best!!!/kari

The name for it will be "Pristine In Bondage". During the studiotime Mikael has promised to keep a studio-log which will hopefully be available here after each day. Some of the titles for the album are: Atropine, Crow Me, Second Coming etc.

We would also like to take the chance to express our opinion on the war against IRAQ. It is wrong and should be stopped immediately!!! /johanna and kari
